Clash of the Titans
Lasers vs. LED
The first question most people ask is weather to get an overhead laser or get the paddle type lipo laser. The other is for the people that can't afford lips because the economy sucks and clinics need a new profit center so they can't afford the laser but only can afford maybe 10 to 15 thousand and have to settle for hour long sessions while those that have paddle types take half as long and the overhead lipo lasers in some of the fancy spas only take 6 to 10 minutes.

There is a problem doctors tell me about both. I will say that what I hear most is pretty f@#ed up. Clinics have told me that they don't want shorter sessions from the over head ones because they work too quick and the customers book half as many session. It would be one thing if they could charge more for faster results but the prices is already at 300 a session. They say they can't charge double, $600 a session as it gives the same results in half the sessions.

The longer 30 minute sesion models that have fewer diodes and paddles, allow them to get double the sessions but here is the problem, they can only book half the people. They have a choice to make. Book more people and see people for half the amount of sessions or book less people and have the lipo laser tied up twice as long.

Clinics don't consider this till later but when most people want to come in during their lunch hour or after work during rush hour, when a clinic has 60 clients all fighting for the same time rame, people, during their lunch break, will have to call around to all the lipo laser clinics and "laser hop" until someone can fit them in. The clinics that have the 6 to 10 minute overhead models, can rush through treatments as they dn't have to spend 7 minutes strapping someone in and changing, they can often see  8 people an hour unlike 2 people an hour on the low paddle low wattage models.

Most clinics know what they are getting into. A huge cash business. To eliminate session hopping, because they can't schedule everyone in when 30 people are trying to book at the same time, customers usually end up calling all the local lipo clinics. And the doctor wonders why people con't come back. ITS BECUASE YOUR LIPO IS SLOW AND TAKES FOREVER AND YOUR TIME FRAMES GET BOOKS FOR 45 MINUTES FOR ONE SINGLE PERSON.

Good luck. Its hard on business and hard to grow when the patient number gets capped. So if a laser take s 30-45 minutes per session, it limits the amount of people per week a clinic can see. If it can be done in 6 to 10 minutes, the window opens up for more patients.

Most paddle machines see about 2 people an hour and 15 minutes if it is running seemlessly, versus 3 to 4 people per hour on an overhead type, as their are no set up times. If you wanna do someones stomache, you gotta take off their shirt, strap around their lower back, with an over head you just lift the shirt and lay on the side.

Many people can't afford the overhead type so the only way to get faster session times in the < 1/2 inch and below category, is to have paddles wit more fluence (more diodes) to shorten session time and also more paddles.

The more paddle ones have the more expensive, especially if the models have more paddles to cover more body parts.
A four paddle system, just you put 4 on legs, one on back and one one side. A for paddle system might require a double session or triple depending on how many body parts.

Many people call clinics and are asking how many body parts they will do and for what price? The catch is that they don't realize they will do it all for the same price, but it might take 2 hours to do the average four body parts most people want. An over head would take 6 to 10 minutes for a part to do 4 body parts, between 24 to 40 minutes (6 to 10 minutes depending on the body type and part)

Most paddles have a bout 4 to 10 diodes. The over head ones have close to 200 diodes saturating one area, one of the reasons it takes 6 minutes to melt the fat and 10 on the top end. They take just as long to set up as a dentast moves the light over you to check your teeth, maybe 3 seconds.

With 192 diodes sitting on you gut the fat has no other way but to separate, quickest way to seperate the free fatty adics from the glycerol liquid.

The bad news but good news for the patients:
With the lasers that give faster session times, many clinics don't like them becaues the get less sessions. I do not think this if fair to the consumer as the clinic knows their are machines that can save the people money but they don't let them know it.

The average paddle system takes about 5 to 7 minutes to set up and take down, more so straping them in just right and comfortably. With the overhead, the session could be half way done by then.

With the faster ones, you can see more patients per day but the customers will need fewer sessions. This is the decision to make. Most people make the first decision which I personally don't agree with. Saving people money will get the most return customers. The reason I sell so many lasers is becuase first this is not my only business, but mainly if I make 100 bucks, 500 bucks or 5,000 on a laser, I don't care. I don't touch them. I am selling air. I probably would be willign to discount more if I knew someone was gonna discount sessions themselves but so far, haven't found a single person. I am not greedy. I don't like dealilng with greedy people or helping them. I simply will hang up on them because its my site and I have no one telling me.

Paddle vs paddle:
Timing of sessions drops by more than half and the amount of sessions needed drops by more than half.
If paddles are rated at 1/16 and the over head rated at 1/2 an inch per session…. thats 300% more fat separation, a huge difference in lower time and more effective but many doctors consider this a negative because its less money for them unless they are a high traffic clinics where the law of diminishing of diminishing returns doesnt take effect.

LEDs are LEDS and are not the LEDS:
LEDs have better surface coverage than the laser. Lasers are better for penatration. LED’s are cheaper. Lasers are more expensive. For the same coverage of LEDs you need more lasers. LED session times are about an hour or more for the same results as a a laser. Lasers can show a difference in 6-10 minutes depending on the wavelength and wattage & the number of diodes (infused raises voltage, many won't tell you about this). More fluence = exponentially better results, not just like double the diodes double the effectiveness but more than double. Lasers have more fluence than even superluminous Leds. Lasers have way more clinical studies supporting the pictures everyone is seeing. Both LED’s and laser’s work in the difference in the type of results and session times.
If the fats cluster size isrreduced by a laser, their can be more of a chance of the fat going back into the interstitial spaces and not transported through the lymphatic vessels.

Note: if the person is eating a high fat diet already and then going to get laser lipo, the lymphatic system is already sluggish from processing the fat eating that day or the days before and moving 4 teaspoons of fresh lymphatic waste is probably nearly impossible, even if using a machine that works in 10 minutes or less. It is not the amount of fat flushed, it is what happens after the fat cells cluster size is smaller and then it has no where to go making the laser lipo session worthless for some of the people not following the right protocols. It is hard to follow the protocols with all the food addiction and habits people have.
So,the same fat that is being moved out of the target areas has to be dumped into the same place as the fat from teh food we eat or it can be re deposited into other areas of the body but most likely the same place.

LASER vs SUPERLUMINOUS LED
Fat removal %%%
If someone wants to really get technical, knowing the right pre and post treament can maximize the amount of fat that actually "leaves" the body, not just getting temporarily displaced.

How much localized fat do you want the laser to displace per session?

under 2500mls
2500 to 350mls per session
3500 to 4000mls per session
4000+mls per session

Although fewer places have them, the non direct non patch models seem to remove the most mls of fat per minute. Think about it, if a lipo laser can diplace 400 mls of fat in a minute on a laser rated for 6 minute sessions, a laser that displaces 100 mls in 6 minutes on a lipo rated at 20 to 25 minutes.

Both can dothe same job but the one that can seperate the fats quicker will give me more confidence the hard to reach areas get released. Cellulite has the most blockages and is the reason people start itching when doing the lymphatic execise because it has been poorly oxygenated. It feels almost as if a hundred mosquitos are biting you so just be aware after your session. I've see n some people with scratch marks all over them.

The LEDs move displace much less than the lasers. Theirs is that it is that the body can only move about 4 teaspoons of lymphatic fluide though the lymph vessels per minute. If the amount of fat that is dissolved exceeds that, then it will just go back into the body. Most people don't do the right amount of lymphatic exercise during post treatment and another reason why more people choose LED over laser. Not knowing the persons ability to process lymph first I would consider LED unless I knew they would follow post treatment protocols.
